Even got the chance to show some of the research from my PhD project, including some high-throughout screening data completed during my placement at @SingerInst.

Had a great time attending the 3rd @BBNet_NIBB conference learning the importance/complexities of biorefining, and how it is necessary to achieve a more sustainable and cleaner future. #fungi π are the future!
Crazy how the last 3-months have flown by. Had an amazing time working at @SingerInst, seeing the powers of lab automation and how it can be used to accelerate scientific research. Grateful to have worked in such a dynamic environment full of so many awesome people!
Second week already underway of my 3-month placement at @SingerInst. Have already learnt so much and I'm excited to start using their awesome robots to make yeast phenotyping high-throughput. @SoCoBioDtp
Hereβs a summary I wrote about @ChloeUylβs research into new fermenting yeasts for second generation biofuel production, which will be presented at #BYG22 tomorrow afternoonπ
PhD candidate @ChloeUyl has discovered an unusual colony morphology and ability to switch phenotypes in a species of fermenting yeast. Read more about how these properties could be used to streamline the production of biofuels: https://t.co/lsC31zcBCy @kentfungalgroup @BuscainoA
Proud to say I participated in my first @kentfungalgroup (KFG) lab inspired Olympic Games today. I was absolutely terrible, but Buscaino Lab won a worthy second place. My favourite event had to be the biohazard sack relay race!
