(6) This is among the worst kind of journalism. It’s shoddy and careless and has absolutely no place in today’s society.. I commend Katie for putting her children first, and wholeheartedly support any performer who makes a similar decision.
(5) Another fear we face, is that a tabloid would be stupid enough to expose our location, therefore jeopardising our safety and privacy, leaving us wide open to face public scrutiny from those who find the situation funny. Which of course the ever classy Daily Star have done.
4) But have feared that our personal choices would be outed and made to look as though we were failing... Let me make one thing very clear. This IS NOT FAILURE! This shows great strength, patience, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to supply our most basic needs.
(3) Myself and other actors I know have been in positions many a time outside of acting jobs where we have felt it may be wise to work a normal job, whether it be because of financial hardship, new career prospects or simply an attempt to keep ourselves busy for our own sanity.
(2) It’s malicious, pathetic and vile behaviour showing absolute disregard for the Actor, and their mental health. For a tabloid who has on occasion shared stories and brought awareness to mental health, this is incredibly contradictory and proves that they do not care. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
(1) I am sick and tired of seeing this happen. Tabloids have clearly not learnt a single thing from the Geoffrey Owens Story. As actors our job is hard enough as it is, not knowing when or where our next gig will be. So the VERY last thing that we need is this shit.
“Forget about acting. Go to art galleries, listen to music, know what’s going on in the news. Develop your taste and judgment so that when a quality piece of writing is put in front of you your imagination, which you’ve nurtured, has something to bounce off”
