Ever notice when the Tories come under fire you'll usually see Priti Patel being wheeled out to preach on how tough she's going to be on refugees and immigration? It's a total con. They're distracting you from the fact that they're looting from the poor and serving the wealthy.
This needs context: Some taxes (like VAT) are at record highs, and others have gone up sharply e.g. council tax.
But corporation tax was 52% when I was born. It's now 19%. That same year, the top rate of income tax was 83%. It's now 45% (and only for top 1%)
Who pays matters.
Yet again the Tories are attacking refugees to distract from their own failures.
We must reject divide-and-rule and stand up to racism.

Graduates earning over £27,295 a year will now have a marginal tax rate of 42.25 percent once student loan repayments are taken into account. That’s almost exactly the same as an older person earning £90,000 a year. So much for progressive taxation.
People who came on this TL to tell us they’re voting Tory because they don’t want Labour to overtax their 30k grad job salary, how’s that going for you?
Reminder: The Tories won't ask the super-rich to pay more tax because their party is funded by the super-rich. The media would have made the public aware of this but the super-rich own the media too.
It should not fall onto the country’s bottom half to pay more tax and national insurance when the richest manage to constantly avoid it. The Tories need to start properly taxing their friends because how much more can the average earner really pay
Tories have somehow managed to convince voters that state services can only be funded by either taxing workers or slashing benefits. They must be absolutely laughing to the bank
