February 28, 2026 — a rare six-planet alignment where Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune drift quietly into line.
@campbellclaret Labour are actually being quite effective. Noticeably more police, inflation under control, easier to get a GP appointment, their weakness is their PR machine. Would you @campbellclaret consider stepping up and replacing Tim A to defend against a hard right future?
The team from @theaircurrent is seeking more information on this statement from the President. A massive amount of the U.S. fleet of mainline, regional, helicopter and military aircraft are "made in Canada."
Absolutely stunning footage of last night’s geomagnetic storm as seen from the ISS.
Russian cosmonaut Sergey Kud-Sverchkov said it was like flying straight through them.
Sound up for this Hawker Hurricane fly by. Filmed in 2010 I believe, but doesn´t matter, as long as you hear all the 12 cylinders from that revvin RR Merlin :D 🎥Wonkabar007 on youtube
@neeratanden Last year @Microsoft waited until people had bought xboxes for Christmas in Black Friday sales then on 1st December hiked the price of Game Pass by 58%. That's disgusting. @bradsmi@satyanadella
New Years fireworks in Baku, Azerbaijan. I was practicing some night time photographs from one of the windows on the @Space_Station at the end of the work day on New Years Eve. I had just finished passing over my targets when I noticed something funny – the city below me was twinkling! I quickly took a video, and realized that as we were orbiting further east, we had orbited into 2026, and I was actually seeing the New Years fireworks over Baku, Azerbaijan! Nikon Z9/400mm lens.
When the Boeing 787 operates on autopilot, its sophisticated flight control system manages the flaperons to maintain stable flight, particularly during turbulence.
The system continuously receives data from various sensors, including airspeed indicators, inertial navigation systems, and accelerometers. When turbulence is detected, the autopilot system automatically adjusts the position of the flaperons to counteract any rolling motions caused by gusts or disturbances in the airflow.
Back in May, on a Friday night at London Heathrow Airport, Concorde G-BOAB discreetly moved for the first time in ten years a rare and stirring sight for those lucky enough to witness!

The fire on #1 was really bad, no doubt, but the compressor stall that happened on #2 right here was the truly crippling event that sealed their fate. This was likely due to FOD being shoved down its throat from the uncontained failure of #1. Look at the yaw moment right after the compressor stall (puff of fire) from the loss of its thrust.
No way that thing was ever gonna climb out on one engine. Not loaded with cargo and fuel. And no, there’s nothing that could’ve been done different from the flight deck. Heartbreaking. 🙏
