I used to send him my location every night before i slept.
Not because he asked.
Just so he knew i was home safe.
He never replied. Not once. No “okay.” No “received.” Nothing.
I just assumed he did not notice.
One night my phone died before i could send it.
I thought nothing of it, because he never acknowledges anyways.
At 1am i woke up to 14 missed calls.
And one text.
“You didn’t send it. I’m outside.”
I opened my door and he was there.
Standing in the dark.
I said “it was just my phone.”
He said “I know. I came anyway.”
For my final act of love, I will leave you alone for the rest of your life. I’ll gladly be the villain in your story as long as it means I chose my own peace and sanity.
Out of respect PLEASEEEE do not tell me about people that I am no longer in contact with. I do not care about them, what they do is none of my business. I have my own life and I am very happy with where I am.
I watched my friend cry in her car for 30 minutes, then walked in my house smiling and joking like nothing even happened. People really be fighting silent battles every day while still showing up and making others smile.
Functional depression is real.
You work, joke around. Take care of people around you. But mentally you are drowning in your own thoughts and nobody knows it.
No one talks enough about the heavy regret you feel when you've been vulnerable with someone because you thought it was a safe place only to figure out it wasn't.
I don’t judge women for staying in situations they should’ve left sooner. Love makes you hopeful. Love makes you patient. Love makes you believe. And sometimes, love teaches you the hardest lessons. ❤️🩹
Imagine losing a woman who doesn’t talk to multiple men, is well educated, family oriented, responsible, carries herself well, and has a pure heart. Embarrassing.
The hardest truth you'll face as a woman is realizing that a man can stay with you for years without ever truly choosing you.
He can enjoy your company, your body, your loyalty, and still never step into the role of making you his life partner.
they weren’t lying when they said you wake up one day and just don’t care anymore. no warning, no dramatic shift, just a quiet, almost peaceful detachment
my parents couldn’t make it to this one PTA meeting and i begged my classmates mum to help collect my result. after seeing mine, she insulted her daughter right in front of me, our class teacher and some other parents while asking the usual question - “does she have two heads?”.
the girl stopped talking to me and successfully convinced some other girls to stop too. young me tried performing less, helping her with notes, assignment and I won’t even include her name in noisemakers—anything i thought would help the friendship but lol…
most women aren't crying over the man. they're crying over themselves. the effort they gave, the hope they held, the delusion they fell for, & the reminder that love hasn't rewarded them back.
