This mentally unwell lady had a plaster for several months and her hand was rotting away because she did not get a follow up on the broken arm. She had no fixed abode, just roaming in the cbd.
Strangers around the world stepped up and contributed towards her medical check up. The doctor removed maggots from her hand. Had we turned a blind eye or procrastinated she could have lost the hand or her life. Today she is at a mental institution recuperating. Imgutsheni Hospital.
Imagine in this winter, had we not intervened she could have been out there on the streets, feeling cold and hungry as hell. But she now has a warm bed. She gets meals everyday. She baths daily. We visit her always. The hand has healed.
And she's taking medication for her mental issues.
First frame is when we decided to help her. Second frame is just a few days old. I have a testimony that God works in mysterious ways, that when God says its not over, its not. God's grace is sufficient.
I have a testimony that the help that you need may not come from your blood relatives but strangers, people you least expect.
How good can God be?
To the donors who helped this lady , may God bless you abundantly.
Ngiyabonga mina. Ndinotenda. Thank you ❤️❤️

An African giant has fallen. Abdullah Ibrahim has passed on at 91. His song Mannenburg is synonymous with Zimbabwe Radio 2 programmes that played it as background music in the 90s.
I was in primary school then. Zimbabwe's economy had already taken a nosedive and in ICU. I usually came home after school to my father sitting under the bamboo shed, listening to the radio. He usually did this when he was off or on night shift at Dunlop. He would comment bitterly that under Zanu Pf we were doomed as a nation.
We all had hope that one day the brutal Mugabe regime would fall, that the ailing economy would get better.
Two decades later we are still doomed, Mugabe is gone but we have another leader already taking after Mugabe, altering, mutilating and tampering with the constitution so as to illegally remain in power. Zanu pf must go in its entirety.
Back to Abdullah Ibrahim, rest in peace. Fly high for you have played your part in this cruel world.
Your song brings back bittersweet memories. Nostalgia just kicked in. I miss my father dearly.
So long gentlemen. 🫡🫡

Today, one of my office friends told me something about his wife that really stayed in my mind.
He said that yesterday he came home completely exhausted after a long and stressful day at work. He was expecting to have dinner and relax, but when he entered the kitchen, he realized that no food had been prepared.
He asked his wife, "Why isn't dinner ready?"
She calmly replied, "I wasn't feeling well today, and honestly, my mood wasn't good either, so I couldn't cook."
My friend admitted that he became upset. After a tiring day, he felt disappointed and spoke to her in an irritated tone.
What surprised him was that instead of arguing back or getting angry, she simply smiled and remained calm.
Confused, he asked, "I'm clearly upset. Aren't you angry at me? Why aren't you arguing back?"
His wife smiled and said,
"My mother taught me that a marriage is not a competition where someone has to win. Not every situation needs an angry response. If one person is upset, sometimes the other should stay calm. Otherwise, a small issue can turn into a big fight."
My friend said those words instantly made him realize his mistake. His anger disappeared, and instead of continuing the argument, they went into the kitchen together, prepared a simple meal, and spent the evening peacefully.
Before finishing the story, he looked at me and said,
"Beauty may impress someone for a few years, but a kind, understanding, and patient life partner can make an entire lifetime beautiful. If someone gets a spouse like that, home truly feels like heaven.
