Nobody should be trusting ANYTHING Dispatch says. Ever. Remember:
1. Noh Taeyoon, Cha Eunwoo's manager, is a Dispatch informant.
2. Dispatch is the one who went to the location of Cha Eunwoo's family-run restaurant on Jan 23, 2026, and reported onsite that it was just a construction site, as if to prove to the public that his company was a "paper company." When in reality, the family closed the eel restaurant around May 2025, and on July 1, 2025, Fantagio created subsidiary Fantagio M, where they created their OWN eel restaurant in Seoul, using the same name as Eunwoo's family restaurant, and let fans assume it was still owned by Eunwoo's family. Then, when Fantagio was asked about the location of the eel restaurant on Jan 22-23, they said "We are unable to confirm" despite owning the current restaurant that they admitted on Feb 4, 2026. The Ganghwa Island location was under construction because that was where Eunwoo's brother's interactive media complex was to be built and open in February 2026. That got delayed, but it opened end of July 2026 at Eunwoo's family owned location. It is called Ganghwa Homie.
3. Dispatch is the one who reported on Eunwoo's wiretapping case a day after initial reporting, and created a whole NEW scenario of what happened, to the point of completely removing the fact that there even was an arrest. Of course their report got ignored though, because the real news had already been reported and gone viral. It must've really caught Fantagio off guard, since they seem to have been covering the case up for 3 weeks. Not only has Fantagio not released a statement on this very real illegal incident and criminal investigation, none of the articles ever even suggested that Fantagio had been reached out to for comment, nor is the name Fantagio in any of the articles. Yet Fantagio continues to give comments for all of its other celebrities.
Ju Sudo, one of Korea’s biggest scammers, exposed Fantagio Chairman Namgoong Kyun as the traitor who gifted him a car with a GPS tracker to cooperate with prosecutors and dodge charges—just like he escaped prosecution in Cha Eunwoo’s tax case.

“The public remembers only the tax evasion allegations against Cha Eunwoo”. The investigation concerning Cha Eunwoo involves a routine tax assessment rather than tax evasion
A recent commentary by a fraud-investigating reporter examines Fantagio chairman Namgoong Kyun's past, revisiting a 2006 case involving Ju Soo-do—founder of JU Group and perpetrator of one of South Korea's largest multi-level marketing pyramid scams. Ju accused Namgoong of gifting him a luxury car fitted with a hidden GPS tracker to secretly act as an informant for prosecutors, ultimately letting Namgoong escape the investigation himself.
The author contrasts this pattern with the tax controversy surrounding #CHAEUNWOO, noting that Eunwoo's case was a tax assessment resulting in additional tax payments, whereas the tax evasion allegations against Namgoong Kyun reportedly ended with no finding of suspicion—once again letting him evade justice.
The commentary highlights how Namgoong lacks any sense of loyalty when pursuing his goals and questions why Eunwoo continues to face public accusations over a routine tax assessment, while the chairman repeatedly evades scrutiny.

📰 A recent media report addressing contract expiration timelines highlighted updated details regarding Cha Eunwoo’s contract period with Fantagio:
Cha Eunwoo’s contract timeline was adjusted to account for his military service. While his original agreement was set to expire in the first half of 2027, his enlistment in July 2025 extended the term by the duration of his service.
However, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗼’𝘀 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴—one section mentions mid-2028, while a separate summary table lists the second half of 2028.
• Once again, the official data related to Cha Eunwoo published by Fantagio is altered, confusing, and lacking clarity. We are eager for time to move quickly and for this stage to come to an end.

In response to multiple inquiries from fans, we wish to clarify the following:
An analysis based on our inquiries into the legal and institutional framework behind the recent cafe wiretapping incident involving Sergeant LEE DONGMIN, widely known as CHA EUNWOO, reveals clear jurisdictional boundaries between civilian law enforcement and the Ministry of National Defense (MND).
When a crime takes place in a civilian establishment, primary jurisdiction falls strictly under civilian law enforcement. In this case, because the unauthorized recording device was placed inside a public venue in Yongsan, Seoul, the Yongsan Police Station is leading the criminal investigation. Law enforcement authorities are currently conducting digital forensic analysis on the suspect’s phone and seized hardware to trace the origin of the eavesdropping equipment, establish intent, and identify potential co-conspirators.
Although civilian police retain investigative authority over offenses committed in public spaces, the Ministry of National Defense plays an active secondary role whenever a victim or targeted party is an active-duty service member like Sergeant Lee. Military authorities maintain direct communication with civilian law enforcement to monitor case progress. Beyond statutory legal proceedings, the Ministry holds an administrative duty to ensure the personal safety and security of active personnel during their term of service. This obligation allows military leadership to implement enhanced force-protection measures, perform technical security sweeps, and provide official support to protect service members from external threats.
The division of responsibility shifts fundamentally based on where an offense occurs. Had the same act occurred on military property—such as inside a garrison, administrative building, or defense facility—it would trigger immediate military jurisdiction. Under those circumstances, the Defense Criminal Investigation Command and the Military Police hold exclusive authority to initiate independent criminal proceedings, conduct searches, and process charges through the military judicial system.
Because the incident occurred off-base, civilian criminal statutes govern the immediate prosecution of the suspect, while defense authorities focus on operational security and personnel protection for Sergeant LEE.

Comments on the topic:
9. If it's a sasaeng, isn't taking photos or videos usually the norm?
17. This feels like someone intentionally targeting him rather than just a sasaeng fan, which makes it even scarier...
24. Sounds like a private investigator / errand center employee
29. I don't think it's a fan. Even if sasaengs put wiretaps on cars they drive, with this, you don't know when he'll come or where #CHAEUNWOO will sit
32. She probably wanted to grab audio recordings to hand over to YouTube cyber wreckers
42. Crazy, isn't this not a regular fan but an employee from a private investigator agency or something?
46. Real, if it were a fan they'd just secretly take photos or videos.... Why eavesdrop?? This isn't a fan, it feels 100% like a planned crime
76. Seeing as she claimed to be a fan, she's probably not one. Seems more like an organization that targets celebrities' weaknesses to blackmail them
80. Probably not an ordinary person lol Either someone hired her, or she's an employee at a private investigator agency, a reporter, or wiretapping to blackmail. The fact that she claimed to be a fan shows she's not an ordinary person
92. No way she's a fan... lol She probably did it to catch any private life stuff to blackmail him with
101. This isn't the type of privacy a fan would be curious about, like his home or daily routine. A cafe is already a public space, so recording audio without knowing which seat he'd even take is so scary. Seems more like criminal intent.
109. For real, doesn't seem like a fan, more like a cyber wrecker, reporter, or agency private investigator. How would a mere sasaeng know when and where he'd sit to wiretap it?
111. Doesn't seem like a sasaeng; sasaengs take pictures of faces, who wiretaps?
115. If it were a fan or sasaeng, they'd take videos or photos, but since it's wiretapping, it feels like trying to extort money or sell it to a cyber wrecker?
118. Check if she's a reporter
157. Reading the comments, she might be a professional trying to sell scoops to reporters or cyber wreckers. Needs to be thoroughly investigated
167. 5 bugging devices? Isn't she with a cyber wrecker?? If it were a sasaeng, they'd want to get close to the person, they wouldn't hide and install 5 wiretaps.. Installing hidden cameras at his home or hiding in the cafe to watch him would make sense, but wiretaps in a cafe??
172. 100% a reporter, cyber wrecker, or an insider agency
185. Her goal was probably to get illegal info by wiretapping to extort money, or if worst came to worst, sell it to the media
197. Saying "I wiretapped as a fan" gets more legal leniency than saying "I wiretapped to do cyber wrecker stuff".. No matter how many crazy fans there are, the cause-and-effect just screams professional extortionist
208. Probably wiretapped not as a fan or sasaeng, but to extort money by catching a weakness to blackmail him
209. Doesn't seem like a sasaeng; feels like she claimed to be a fan just to make her offense look less severe.. Wiretapping of all things is so uncomfortable
210. 5 devices? Ever since she claimed to be a fan... I don't think she's a fan. If she were a fan she'd try to make contact or take videos somehow.. Wouldn't she be a pro trying to sell sources to cyber wreckers or use it for crime?
213. Isn't she wiretapping to blackmail him? Please don't just brush this off as a sasaeng thing and investigate thoroughly
221. Claiming to be a fan makes it sound even fishier? Isn't she pretending to be a fan so they'll go easy on her? If she were a sasaeng she'd take photos or videos, not wiretap. It reeks of a professional
250. She claims to be a fan, but isn't she actually a reporter or some kind of professional? Scary, what kind of fan wiretaps? It's not even hidden filming
252. Seriously, it's not like she's a private investigator agency or something
The same Yongsan Cafe that many Rohas visited (though the chairs look a bit different)....he might be a regular customer but knowing his schedule of visit was very suspicious of any staff was involved.🤔
