Great session today for our prostate cancer support group @AuroraCentres hearing from @EmmaHallam6 on the late effects of prostate radiotherapy, the effects of hormone therapy & steps they can take to help manage these & enhance their quality of life. Lots of helpful advice.
Good to see survivorship and late effects listed as a pressure point. Studies clearly show cancer survivors have poorer long-term health that those without cancer and that post treatment support is a postcode lottery for access to specialist late-effects services. @PRDA_uk

Always enjoy facilitating the monthly Prostate Cancer Support @AuroraCentres Worksop. Today @Emily_Newt0n really helped our members to understand how they can build physical activity into their daily lives & live healthily with & beyond their prostate cancer & it’s treatment.
If we don’t start thinking seriously now about how to provide supportive care for people living with cancer (and beyond), by 2040, 5.2m people in the UK will not get proper access to the care they need. #supponc@UKASCC@CancerCareMASCC#timetoact
