Hannah Cornelius, a 21-year-old Stellenbosch University student, was abducted with her friend Cheslin Marsh in May 2017.

After a night out with friends, she offered to drive her classmate Cheslin Marsh home.

While the two sat parked outside his flat, four men suddenly surrounded her Volkswagen Golf, armed with a knife and a screwdriver.

They forced the pair from the car, robbed them, and drove them to Kraaifontein, where Marsh was savagely beaten with bricks and left for de*d, he survived, though he was left deaf in one ear.

Hannah was r**ed repeatedly over several hours by multiple men while high on crystal meth.

Near dawn, the men took her to a farm road next to a vineyard, when she began to resist further assault, she was st*bbed in the neck, beaten, and finally k*lled when an 82-pound rock, used to cover a nearby borehole, was dropped on her head, twice.

Her body was discovered the next day by two workers.

Vernon Witbooi, Geraldo Parsons, and Eben van Niekerk, each received life sentences in November 2018 for the horrendously evil crime.

A fourth criminal, Nashville Julius, was convicted of kidnapping and robbery.
