In 2024, and Nov 2025, the US asked for a military base in Nigeria. Nigerian Govt rejected both times citing sovereignty.
Trump tweeted about Christian genocide, dropped a bomb on Xmas.
Jan 2026, US troops are in Naija.
Seems the master strategist has been played.
@ruffydfire
@Mayoveli Typical Nigerian always blaming another person for his problems.Other sub saharan countries are not blaming Obama, only Nigerians. What ever happened in Libya. It is still a better country than Nigeria. Stop blaming others for your problems and fix your country.
Now that he is 6 ft under, let us not forget:
1). He was the only head of state to overthrow a democratically elected Nigerian president.
2.) The only HOS / President to kidnap Nigerian citizens from abroad back to Nigeria.
3). The only HOS to close borders in peace time.
@SecDef Sir, I work at Madigan Hospital under the DHA and many would love to take the DRP however, but DHA is letting anyone go or even retire. This has been on going since January. Please do something. I'm just a maintenance worker who signed up for the Deferred Resignation Program
@gus_fadel@elonmusk I agree with you. That will take the number to the 10% of the Federal employees that @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk originally wanted to resign. An additional advantage is that there will be no judicial orders to stop this.
@elonmusk It appears that many federal employees who were fired are returning by judge orders. How about another round of the Deferred Resignation Program? Many employees were scared to select it, but now we have a better understanding of it. Just an idea. That will get 200K+.
“I can make this boy disappear in the whole of Nigeria and nothing will happen.
- I will lock you up in my generator house.
- I will not call my policemen to beat you up.
- I will beat you up myself.
- Yes I slapped you two times. I will make it three.
- Do you know who I am? Do you know where you are?”
Imagine the kind of Alex Ikwechegh representing us as a people, yet we expect a sane country.
Sharing VAT is like sharing PAYE; it is Fiscal madness
Let Nigeria revert to 1970
You catch the cow; you k*ll the cow, your family keeps 87%, and you pay 13% to “Abuja.”
The direct implementation is that voters will start seeking candidates who can grow a farm that produces offspring and even manure that can be sold.
Not candidates that only know how to eat meat airdropped to them via FAAC airlines
@PeterObi “Our nation remains the poverty capital of the world, with our per capita income crashing further from $1700 in 2023 to $1109 this year.”
Tinubu has destroyed our economy. Nigeria is dying gradually. Everyone seems helpless at this point.
@PeterObi, we need you in Aso Rock
I just read a disturbing comment in the media space attributed to one of the supposed political leaders in the country that the life of the Vice President is in danger because of the faults recorded in his official aircraft.
The leader went further to urge the Federal Government to purchase a new aircraft for the Vice President.
In making such a remark now, the speaker is insensitive and obviously unconcerned about the prevailing economic situation in the country.
That Nigerians are facing untold hardship at this moment is no secret .
Such a provoking call is coming from a person who probably is oblivious of the fact that Nigeria, at present, has continued to manifest every trait of a failed state.
We are today among one of the eleven worst-governed African nations in the last 10 years. We are also among the 20 most hungry nations in the world, with our people facing worsening mass poverty, extreme hunger and starvation.
Our nation remains the poverty capital of the world, with our per capita income crashing further from $1700 in 2023 to $1109 this year.
Are these not the issues that should be prioritized by committed leaders?
Our national electricity grid has so far collapsed 8 times this year alone and 105 times in the last ten years, plunging our small businesses into great losses and households into darkness.
In the past 15 months, several businesses have closed down or become distressed due to the harsh economic environment in the country.
Are these not the issues that should preoccupy us as leaders, rather than being consumed by our selfish desires for needless luxury at the expense of the people we are called to serve?
What does Nigeria's Vice President need a new jet for, and what value are all Presidential and Vice Presidential trips adding to our present situation?
It was not until 2014 that Indonesia, with sustainable economic growth of over 6% annually for the past 10 years, adding about 50% to both her GDP and GDP per capita, decide to buy a Presidential jet, used by both the President and Vice President.
The Vice President travels mostly in the country's national airline, Garuda Indonesia.
And since we have recently undeservedly bought one, it should be used on essential, inevitable trips of the President and Vice President.
I appeal to the President, Vice President, and our public office holders that our present precarious situation calls only for minimal and highly contributory inevitable travels.
It is time to sit down and find solutions to our litany of challenges for the wellbeing of the people and the development of our country.
Nigeria will rise again if the leadership can commit to selfless service.
A New Nigeria is POssible if we can get our priorities right. -PO
I remind again
If you are going home to Nigeria this Christmas
1. Buy some starlinks
2. Give one to “Fada”, one to the Headmaster, one to “Eze”
3. Pay the annual subscription in Naira
Especially at the school, you instantly give that school and students internet access, and no setup or contract is required. You are not chasing anyone for updates or returns
If you want to go further, go to Costco and buy a solar recharge kit so it works without power in the village
Bless the youth age grade with this
This costs nothing if converted to Naira
God bless
“Less than 3,000 political offices in Nigeria, yet they hold over 220 million people to ransom.
The 220 million people sit down and wait for God to perform a miracle on their behalf.” - @obyezeks
Most Nigerians do not understand what FEDERAL REPUBLIC means or what FISCAL FEDERALISM which is from a Federal Republic means
A federal Government cant collect VAT consumed in States. Have you heard IRS collected Sales Tax in NY?
VAT Rates are also not supposed to be uniform. Same as PAYE
What Nigeria is practicing is still a Military style Unitary State
Why should the Federal Government set PAYE rates or VAT rates in Abia? how? Is Abia not a State? that is part of a Republic? same as FAAC disbursement. States should be paid in $ earned NOT Naira, if Abia wants to sell its $ it can to the open market, it if wants to keep $, it can
You still want to argue, was the Sovereign Wealth Find not shared because States said the FGN cant save for them? so how can Federal collect and share State taxes?
Please before engaging, gugu what Federal Republic and Fiscal Federalism mean
Exactly how is this miscreant, any different from other cretins in the Nigerian ruining crass, be that be a political or economic member of the despicable collective of myopic morons?
DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?
“the oppressor is often unconcerned about losing his stolen fortune, but is often more concerned, that the oppressed poor might become free, and thereby discover him for what he is: nothing more than a poor man in disguise”
@ModiuOlaguro
The South Koreans sent me an email
“Kalu, is there light in 🇳🇬? We want to build 4 new refineries before December 2024.”
Please, what should I tell them?
Serious answers only, please
Nigerian Americans voting for Trump just want to punish the APC, not bcos they like Trump. They want DT, bcos in their mind, he won’t meddle in Nigeria (since he sees you as a shithole). Well, he sold the Super Tucano jets to Buhari. He was POTUS on 20.10.2020 Endsars
