T&C's BELOW!
@SteelmenNews@officialdafc Yeah, he’s really popular here. Would love to keep him, but hope he has a great career regardless. Really likeable guy and a great keeper.
@jon_wakefield@romer Player we signed from Septemvri has been good. Played for Mozambique at Afcon last month. Very unusual for us to have any players there! Big focus on youth development & signing younger players. Resulted in inconsistency, but some exciting games.
@jon_wakefield@romer We signed a player from Septemvri in the summer and also loaned a player out to them last January. Also had a pre-season training camp in Bulgaria. But no formal links.
@jon_wakefield@romer You signed Bullen from Dunfermline. Played for us 1999-2004. Started off as a striker, played just about everywhere on the park for us.
I don’t think it will end up with a City group type model - wouldn’t go down well here! But might see some player movement between clubs.
@jon_wakefield@romer Agree - would be interesting to see if there would be any link between the clubs. Maybe need to get Lee Bullen involved somehow. He’s very popular amongst fans of both clubs!
@jon_wakefield Not yet. They learned lessons from recruitment mistakes (both in terms of management team and players). Most controversial thing has been our new shirt sponsor being a crypto casino that isn’t allowed to trade in the UK (Gamdom).
@jon_wakefield Nothing massive (yet). Put new TVs in the concourse. Brought in new caterers for kiosks and hospitality - massive improvement from previous providers, I would add. Subsidised supporter buses for a Scottish Cup away day last year too.
@jon_wakefield They haven’t got everything right. Recruitment last Jan (took over here with a week left in window) was more ‘miss’ than ‘hit’. But recruitment in the summer was very impressive. Transformed us from relegation candidates to challenging for promotion.
@jon_wakefield New owners are pretty popular right now. Certainly seem to be ‘all in’. Invested a lot (for our level). Making lots of positive changes on and off the park. Bord was over just before Christmas and paid everyone’s bar tab in the pub before the game.
