The country is expected to see over 1 million new daily cases throughout the next month, marking one of the highest transmission periods ever recorded for this time of year.
Between September 9 and September 15, at least 150,210 new COVID-19 cases were reported, marking a 12% decrease from the previous week. Despite this drop, the weekly death toll remains above 1,000 for the fifth consecutive week, with 1,232 new deaths recorded.
