This evening’s rally marked 30 years since the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin.
Most opposition leaders took part. None from the coalition, whose ideology is akin to that of Rabin’s murderer.
Yair Golan (Democrats) and others spoke plainly about the need to end the occupation, pursue peace with the Palestinians and cooperate with Israel’s Arab parties and citizens on equal terms. Very moving and hope inspiring.

Holocaust Inversion Must End

Palestinian-American peace activist Jadd Hashem says that Palestinians don’t need to distort Jewish trauma to make people care about Gaza.

Holocaust inversion - the trend of comparing Israel to Nazi Germany or equating the war in Gaza to the Holocaust - he explains is not just historically inaccurate. It’s offensive. It traumatizes the Jewish community and pushes away allies. And it undermines the credibility of the pro-Palestine cause.

As Jadd writes, “Tens of thousands of Palestinians killed should be enough for the world to open its eyes.”
