Remember folks
Social media is a great way to connect to others and see how friends are doing
But remember to take occasional breaks to reset your mental aptitude
Not everything on social media is rainbows and sparkles/doom end of times

My Taco bell friend (the drive thru guy I apparently run into constantly after work) and I now talk about life while in the drive thru..
He just gave me a free Baja blast
This is my life now
Here is the group fursuit photo from #lvfc! Bummer we couldn't have done it on the roof again since it was closed this year but fingers crossed for next year. Link to the full resolution photos in the comments.

If you’re at the Alexis Park rooftop, you can see my childhood bedroom window. It’s about 10 minutes away if you walk.
As I grew up in this city, I got to experience the magic of it. Incredible shows like Lance Burton and Mystere. At the same time I was watching the Wynn and Encore being built, I was watching videos of Anthrocon, MFF and Eurofurence. I wanted to have one of those furry conventions here. I was confused why there wasn’t one in Vegas already (I know the answer now, it’s A LOT of fucking work haha). Anime cons were in abundance, including one I’d attended called Anime Vegas held at the Alexis Park.
At the time, I just wanted to attend a fur con local to me. Califur and FC were the closest cons I could attend, and I absolutely did! …but it wasn’t the same…
ESG seemed hopeful, but it didn’t last… SCMC took a shot at it…. We all know how that ended…
At that point, I’d actually given up hope on it. I grew up and moved away from the city. New adventures elsewhere.
But, 15 years after wishing from my bedroom window, some incredible individuals who I’d now consider close friends launched this tiny event called LVFC.
Year one: I begged to be a part of the organization. “Finally, an event ran by locals. They know what’s up! Alexis park? Only a VEGAN would pick that 3 star gem of a resort from a list! I’m so here for it. What do you need? I’ll do anything to help, let’s fucking go.”
They let me help, and I had a blast.
Year two: Teach me everything. I want to know how these work on the back end. By this time, I’d attended hundreds of cons around the world, I wanted to consolidate my ideas and blend them with others to improve the con. I learned a lot, but still lacked much of the administrative skills needed to improve.
Year three: Ask people I trust to help us improve and make it even better. Put people whose skills align with their passion in roles that don’t make it feel like helping is a chore. Share my values: “If you’re not having fun in your role, then the organization needs fixing.”
Year four: Compile our best ideas together and run with them. See what works, and what doesn’t. React calmly and quickly to sudden changes. No rooftop in 2026? Here’s GROWL instead. Flight lands at midnight or stuck too long setting up your dealers table? We chillin! reg open until 2am.
I didn’t think I’d be here now. It’s a LOT harder than I expected. Believe me, this weekend, was some of the most intense stress I’ve ever had in my life. In the end, I still got to fursuit a ton. I still got to shake my tail at THRIVE OR DIE. I still got to grab shots in b26 at night, hug my friends and be unapologetically myself.
I’m glad I get to finally have the experience I wanted in my adolescence. Albeit, not as an attendee like I’d envisioned so long ago. The fact I get to share my dream with everyone else makes it worth all the time I spend every day giving it my all.
The thing I miss most about the rooftop stage isn’t the view of the strip or the mountain backdrop, it’s the view of my bedroom window where I once let my imagination run wild. Wishing I could be where I am today, with my own fursuit surrounded by my best friends and furries just like me from around the world.
Viva Las Vegas! We ALL did this together, let’s enjoy it together.
It was Great seeing all of you and meeting new folks at LVFC!
I wish I could attend more days but gotta adult
