Remember how Illinois Tollway Board back in June was asking for $26.5 billion from Illinoisans that would entail a 57% rate hike by 2027? In the meantime, they've been caught overcharging more than 200,000 people.

According to documents obtained through a FOIA request by CBS, the switch to sticker tags resulted in a system glitch and instead of the Tollway fixing it they overcharged drivers instead.

Chicago has no money.

On paper, the city runs a $16+ billion budget, but most of it is locked up in pensions, fixed costs, and debt. There’s nothing left for real solutions …affordable housing, homelessness programs, or long-term community investment get scraps at best.

By law, Chicago cannot declare bankruptcy, so instead of fixing the system, leaders rely on socialist narratives, moral optics, and distractions to cover up corruption and mismanagement.

Meanwhile, the homeless crisis is massive — exceeding LA and San Francisco combined — and taxpayers keep footing the bill while the people suffering the most see no meaningful change.

Chicago isn’t broke because it lacks resources. It’s broke because its priorities are broken.

A federal judge has ordered Kim Foxx to testify in a wrongful conviction lawsuit and explain decisions she made after allegedly meeting privately with lawyers who ran an exoneration nonprofit while also suing the city over wrongful conviction claims.

For 8 years, Kim Foxx colluded with lawyers who masquerade as civil rights advocates. These “civil rights” lawyers sued Chicago to free violent criminals including those involved with murders, many of whom were released on claims of police misconduct, not exculpatory evidence showing innocence.

After their release, these criminals filed multi-million-dollar suits against Chicago, and they and their lawyers raked in millions. These lawsuits have cost Chicago $1.1 billion since 2008. Foxx may be gone, but well over 200 “wrongful conviction” lawsuits are pending that could cost Chicago billions more.

Across the nation, half of all the exonerations and the cost of lawsuits that followed have involved Chicago Police. Suing Chicago Police has become a billion-dollar racket ignored by the media that falsely characterize the exonerations and multi-million-dollar settlements as evidence of police misconduct.

This demands a DOJ investigation. Violent criminals are released and many become millionaires.

Chicago taxpayers are getting fleeced. When you cast your ballot for County Board President, remember it was Toni Preckwinkle who handpicked Kim Foxx to carry out the exoneration racket.
