I love Pakistan sooo much but there’s one core incompatibility between us: Pakistan is an anti-fun society and I refuse to spend a single day devoid of fun. People in Pakistan look down upon fun, discourage it, create psychological defences against it, and are uncomfortable around people who know how to enjoy themselves. It’s like having fun is banned here 😢 everyone is so depressed here because they have shunned fun from their lives

It was such a peaceful movement, feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt. Paper leak is a very serious issue, and I am glad to know n see that the kids of our country have come together for a better educational system, and their parents supported them.
I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity, and keenness to study hard n make their future and a greater, educated India. This andolan, this protest, is the right way to go abt it, n the students have done this peacefully. So courageous and brave. Driven and motivated towards education, this generation will make India proud.
This issue is between the students and the educational system, it should not be hijacked politically, the credit should only go to the students of our country, and I am sure the government will also give them all the support n make it a stronger educational system. It’s a win-win situation. Hoping n praying for a positive decision. God bless all of you who wanna be educated.
Education should be the next trend and fashion, and should get trendier n more fashionable yr by yr, itna k bahar se log come to India to study and India becomes an educational hub.
Pakistan will advance in every field if the colonial posts of Commissioners, DCs, &ACs are ABOLISHED. Instead of British-made Divisions, Districts & Tehsils, we should have Municipal Govts in every city and a cluster of a few villages. We need directly elected Mayors &Councils!!!
My honest opinion around Jantar Mantar is that it doesn't matter to us. Good for you, mates. Keep giving right-wing hell. India suspended the Indus water treaty to starve Pakistan. No opposition arose against that decision till date except massive support for it. Have a nice day.
Watching Pakistani ‘journalists’ breathlessly cover India’s “cockroach protests” and revel in the idea of Modi in crisis is something else…None of them pausing to ask when Pakistan last saw a mass political protest that wasn’t met with arrests, cases and years in jail…
Raising voice over protests in India but when pakistani awam showed 100× more courage, y'all called them fitna & dehshatgard. So many ppl including women & children are still in jail cause of it. Ppl in balochistan & kashmir are facing more worse but unky liye awaz nahi uthani :)
The wildest part about POVERTY is how much time it steals. Waiting for buses. Calling assistance offices. Comparing grocery prices. Fighting insurance. Sitting at laundromats. Being poor is a second job nobody pays you for.
Nobody wants data centers everywhere. Nobody wants flying cars. Nobody wants a city on Mars. Nobody wants AI in every app. Nobody wants a robot butler. All we want is clean water, we want bees to survive, and we want a habitable planet.
Mayor Mamdani is showing many Americans what I’ve known my whole life…Muslims are kind, thoughtful, and generous people. Some of the closest and kindest people in my life are Muslim, always have been. It’s strange to me that this even needs to be said, but I’ll keep saying it.
Thousands of children in Kasur were raped & videotaped, blackmailed & are still without justice. Zainab, Uzma, Kamran, the little boys of Shahrag, the little bachabaazi victims at trucks stood, coal mines, the brothels with sex workers age 9 up. And now this child raped & found dead above a grocery store.
Yet none of this is really a priority is it?
The relentless news keeps building. But as long as the powerful keep getting richer & more powerful, it doesn’t really matter.
We have become ridiculously desensitised.
Yet most of the people turning a blind eye to the LACK of child protection in Pakistan are deeply religious.
Curious. How do you all think your silence on every platform will show up on judgment day?
Because it will.
I stopped believing in a fair world when I started working with children’s rights & children in shelters 35 years ago.
But I do believe in the justice of Allah.
And Alhamdolillah I still do believe in the compassion & kindness of the human race.
There are angels amongst us that keep my faith in humanity alive.
In the mean time…. I request today as I did during Kasur… as I did in 2011-2013-2017-2018- & every year since I’ve been active on social media…
Please speak up and demand child protection, awareness & safe guarding for children, campaigns all over Pakistan.
This pandemic of child sexual abuse needs to stop.
It’s beyond insane how society has allowed it and how complicit all of those who continue to be silent are.
Over 14,000 rape cases have been reported in Pakistan in the last 4 years, yet parliament refuses to introduce catastrophic punishments for these B@stards.
They rape. They murder. They walk among us freely.
