the culture on crypto x has changed more than most people realize

there was a time when attention was earned through research, insights, educational threads and genuine contributions

people talked about the what, why, how, when and where of a project

they helped communities learn and grow.

today, timelines are increasingly filled with random selfies, face angles, hand pics, hair pics and content that has little to no connection with the projects people claim to support

and honestly, i don't see how that should be considered a contribution

maybe it gets impressions
maybe it gets engagement
maybe it helps secure a role faster

but visibility is not a contribution

contribution creates value
it educates / it inform
it support / it builds

if a post teaches nothing, explains nothing and adds nothing to the ecosystem

then calling it a contribution is lowering the standard for everyone

here's the real breath-taker

people say, (it's my x account, i can post whatever i want)

absolutely

but if you have the right to post publicly, others have the right to share their opinions publicly too

you can't ask for engagement and then complain when not every opinion is positive

freedom of expression works both ways

this isn't about controlling what people post

it's about asking what kind of culture we're rewarding

because if attention becomes more valuable than knowledge and impressions become more valuable than contribution

then the space slowly loses what made it valuable in the first place

web3 doesn't need more noise

it needs more builders, researchers, educators and people creating real value
