PS. I'm in the same boat as you are, I didn't get the skin because I missed the first event. Having a set time event to reward vets is worse.

@Skellyxp @OnceHuman_ Team up with others, 4 player team, 4 Moonlord per night, 4 chance per every 30 minutes. More chances if you go to Moonlord spawn hotspots, because people still don't learn you can just put Whisper in car trunk to stop Moonlord from spawning.

@theNYRedNeck @OnceHuman_ Wishland East is Lv20 ish. Get gator skin, make heat resistant armor, able to survive 80% of Ember Strand without food buff. Play better or grind better, endgame area is supposed to be challenging.

@Please_Xplain @OnceHuman_ You get to keep all of your currency(except E-Link), blueprints(and their tier), and can bring certain amount of stuff from previous season. Real progression isn't your character level or memetics. Character wipe also let you try new memetic specialisations.
