The west didn't consider the PRC to be the legitimate government of China until the 1970s. The Khmer Rouge government was recognized by the west immediately, and continued to be recognized for years after getting deposed by the Salvation Front. Do the math yourself.
@incontinentzif@Crossy_C98 I did the same, but that's because I barely played any western RPGs at that age. They're two distinct traditions, two different broad approaches on translating the RPG to a digital form.
We’re slashing services and might be *privatizing our ports* to save a buck but there’s apparently infinite money for this nonsense.
Calling him Harper 2.0 was too generous. He might be worse than Mulroney.
@1emmaflora@ZeldaVox Lmao, that's how long they were in the old days. To be fair, the number of Pokémon was much bigger (this is pre-dexit) so there were more possible pieces in the formats than in the current one, which complemented the longevity
@mentalsyndrome@shadowpiplup393 When I started in Gen VI, there was at least the IV judge. And breeding was easier than it had been previously. Yet, it still took a significant amount of time to get battle-ready Pokémon.
@lexisoupertramp@mclovenxoxo Once again, you are only considering the top dozen or so cities here. Chicago, NYC, LA and NOLA are four of the US' most developed, famous, and populated cities, but the vast majority of US cities are forgettable whatevers with a population of 150,000
@lexisoupertramp@mclovenxoxo The median American city is much more like Boise, Idaho than New Orleans. So yes, boring and lacking culture. The small handful of cities that are exceptions only help to prove the rule.
