Just a theory. I think Heeseung confronted JK while Dan was recovering and made him realize he wasn’t good for Dan. Jk stayed on his side the whole time while he was unconscious, but left abruptly once Dan got better. Maybe Heeseung knocked some sense into him.

My favorite part of this chapter is when Jaekyung pulls it out. It really shows how much he's changing plus you can tell he remembered Dan asking him to use condoms because cleaning up afterward was always hard for Dan.

i love how on their first night apart, JK becomes the most dramatic lovesick boy ever, drowns himself in alcohol then can’t stop himself from showing up at Dan’s bed while he’s asleep just to drunk talk his ear off.

I think the reason JK looks at Dan before accepting the other gym guys is because he knows Dan would be consumed by guilt if he refused to let them back into the gym. After all, we know Dan blames himself for JK's defeat last time.
