Word : Preemptive
Defination:
Taking action before an expected threat materializes .... acting first based on the belief that an attack or harmful event is coming, with no guarantee the threat was ever real to begin with.

And honestly? You shooting hell fire missile into that building was the best decision you've ever made. You're a hero.
Missiles have been launched.
What's next?

Despite Israel's vow to retaliate strongly, the US advised against it and declared it would not support any retaliatory actions. The US urged Israel to view Iran's attack as unsuccessful. In turn, Iran threatened to respond tenfold to any Israeli retaliation
Yet Isreal attacked.
Just to bring you up to date, Israel launched an attack on an Iranian consulate in Syria, an unprecedented move, resulting in the death of several high-ranking Iranian generals. In response, Iran launched a fierce counterattack with drones, missiles, and cruise missiles.
However, a coalition including the US, Britain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and France intercepted most of the attacks before they breached Israeli airspace. Israel managed to shoot down some of the incoming projectiles, but a couple still hit their targets.
