"Wuthering Heights" is the debut single by Kate Bush from The Kick Inside (1978). She wrote the song at the age of 18, after watching a BBC adaptation of Emily BrontΓ«'s novel.
Released in January 1978, it reached #1 on the UK Singles Chart for 4 weeks, making Kate the first British woman to have a #1 written entirely by herself.
Years later, in 1986, Kate re-recorded the vocals for The Whole Story because she thought the original was too young and immature.

Ray Parker Jr. had only 3 days to write Ghostbusters' Theme Song (and earned $50.000 even if they didn't use it). He was inspired by a TV commercial for pest exterminators. The label wanted a theme of only 20-25 seconds, but he delivered an iconic 80s hit. https://t.co/sEUzc6hLhB
"Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" is Starship's biggest hit, it was written by Diane Warren and Albert Hammond especially for the wedding scene in the film Mannequin (1987). Albert Hammond was inspired by his own life: he had just divorced and was starting a new relationship. https://t.co/ZBDOLkaBvK
