Ann Widdecombe was a formidable woman who stood by her principles while the rest of the political class surrendered theirs.

At last year's Reform conference, my mother asked for a photo. Ann’s reply? “On one condition.” She handed over a promotional card for her Substack. Absolutely brilliant.

Now we have the grim spectacle of online ghouls celebrating the murder of a 78-year-old woman. It’s exactly the kind of moral sickness she spent her life railing against.

Throw the book at whoever did this.
