Introducing https://t.co/XupPcFAUc8.Extensions - a library to streamline use of AI in .NET apps.
Glad to see this go live today! The library is something I and a few smart people have been working on in recent months.

Aspire 9 upcoming features 🧵:
First, you'll be able to use Aspire 9 with .NET 8 and .NET 9! It will no longer require a call to dotnet workload install, and instead uses an MSBuild SDK. This should simplify CI/CD integration and getting started immensely! All you need is NuGet!

Persistent containers are very useful for slow to boot containers like the Cosmos DB emulator! Combined with health checks, we can combine them to avoid starting dependent containers until it is ready.
We're adding the ability to wait for dependencies into aspire. You'll have the ability to wait for another application to complete or wait for another dependency to be healthy.
This is built on top of the healthchecks abstraction in .NET (https://t.co/R8qt97Vswr). We get to take advantage of the huge ecosystem of health checks in https://t.co/Pore2zi51l as a result.
This is one of the huge advantages of using code over yaml and bash scripts 😉.

We're addressing some of the big pain points using aspire for local development, the ability to keep containers alive across runs of the apphost. This will help with really slow to start containers and will make the developer inner loop much faster.
