it won’t change transphobia or terfism overnight, but i think trans people should be louder about how amazing it is that transition makes so many people’s lives better! and it’s crazy to try to control what makes others happy!

@skullpawz i’m not particularly well-versed on this subject, but i know in my country there are ads for a helpline for people like this (non-offending, want to get help/not hurt anyone). it strikes me as more helpful than most of online discourse.

people are groomed into being cis on a mass scale - this is called cisnormativity and starts pretty much at birth. this is so normalized that it does not even get questioned, despite the fact that we know letting trans kids be trans is healthier than forcing them to stay closeted

@daisyyoda the majority of doctors and psychologists agree on its importance, morality and efficiency. again, miraculously low regret rates. these are also not scarcity drugs, they are gatekept for politics. moral panic. but sure, let’s stop everything because you think trans drugs scary.

@daisyyoda not only do i know myself better than you - and yes, this medication was life-saving for my quality of life - but i just want you to question even for a second why you think you know better than me, and my doctor, what i want or need. you cannot. it is authoritarian entitlement.
