@nytimes Politics 101. Choose something insignificant that people care about and make it your issue. Free press and goodwill should follow. If the people are blind herd animals.
Things I am absolutely certain of.
1. @piersmorgan will argue he has been cancelled despite walking out of Good Morning Britain.
2. Nope, that's it.

@_amtiskaw@MargieM1414@themaxburns@abroshar@StephenAtHome@colbertlateshow It doesn't perpetuate racist behaviour. The aim is to call out the behaviour. The punchline is Piers is a baby and Buckingham Palace is racist. The real question is, should you make light of a serious subject? If it creates positive discussion, I say yes.
@koryeroberts @deepdivot17 @BrendanPorath You can safely say the index finger leaves the ball, the thumb could still be in contact. I dont like the idea of only critiquing the players who get TV time though . As for the rules official, those guys are there for show, the players generally get the rulings they want.
@SirPuttsalot @sense_captain I never said we should navigate the rules. The ball should be played from there but your denial of the concept of luck is ridiculous.
@SirPuttsalot @sense_captain I dont disagree that you should be able to play from all lies and that a good player should have all the shots in their arsenal. But it is still bad luck. The only way to remove luck from the equation would be to aim for a part of the fairway that nobody has hit from.
@SirPuttsalot @sense_captain Nobody is arguing it isn't an acquired skill. A side hill lie is not unlucky unless you get there from a bad bounce, if the entire fairway is sloped then luck isn't a factor. And yes it is more unlucky than a bad lie in the rough, unless you were aiming for the rough.
@SirPuttsalot @sense_captain Your opponent is also in a divot I take it? Otherwise its only an advantage if you are better from a divot than your opponent is from anywhere else on the course, fairway included. Its not a penalty or punishment, its bad luck. "Rub of the green" has been removed.
@koryeroberts @deepdivot17 @BrendanPorath Because PGA rules officials are great at calling players for infringements ๐คฆ๐ฝโโ๏ธ...its a minor infringement but rules are rules etc etc
Im sick of hearing about #CancelCulture. Its a "boycott," we have been doing it in this form since the 1880s and its aptly named for a rich white dude nobody liked.

@dabirdone@Origsmartassam@alldaychubbyboy@unclestanstan Yeah definitely thought provoking. I would hazard a guess and say there is some embellishment on his part and he is articulating thoughts he has had upon reflection, not back then. But are we discussing his motives or whether racist nicknames are acceptable in modern society?
@dabirdone@Origsmartassam@alldaychubbyboy@unclestanstan I dont disagree. We should be allowed to seek relevant evidence, reserving judgement until such evidence is collected. I would say one of the problems is perceiving open ended evidence as a "smoking gun." Sinister? Surely you jest.
@Origsmartassam@alldaychubbyboy@unclestanstan This is so common in society its a Hollywood trope. Someone gets ridiculed/ostracised, chooses to lean into it in the hope that will result in acceptance. The only delusional one in the conversation is the one whose scope is so narrow he sees only what affirms his belief.
@IreneShanks2 This is some of the most ignorant shit I've heard in a while. So I take it we equate invasion, attempted genocide, "education" and relocation against the will of these people to charity? And afterwards you think everyone deserves a pat on the back? My day is officially ruined.
