If there’s a weekly show they like, they simply wait until the last episode or even later to binge the whole thing. They don’t care about the “water cooler” or fan theories or podcasts, so watching it alone later doesn’t diminish their enjoyment.

Popular shows will get hundreds of thousands people on a subreddit. Even more people will listen to podcasts about these shows. Weekly releases facilitate all of this for these super-fans.
