@s_guilbeault You think the carbon tax immediately drives prices up instantaneously, across the board? Once the trucking company sees its diesel prices skyrocket and increases their rates to offset, the food producers will offset with high costs. It takes time for the data to show.

@tleehumphrey Except Gertrude and William now have to pay 15-20% more for the items they have to stock and sell. Instead of taking the hit on their profit, they increase the price of all items and transfer the cost to the buyer. In which case Suzy, Spencer and Dwight now lose money!

I’m fairly certain the carbon tax is just not being charged to SaskEnergy bills. He was removing the tax from home heater to counter the carbon tax removed from fuel oil in the East because it was not fair to the West.
