We have become so used to coalition politics in SA , that I am inclined to vote FF ( I have always been a staunch DA supporter ) , but the DA’s socialist leaning really scares me & the FF seems to talk for the middle class . These rules risk imposing unnecessary friction on everyday South Africans, stifling innovation, and driving activity offshore — all while the ageing exchange control framework desperately needs modernisation, not patchwork expansion via proclamation.

Crypto users are not criminals by default. Sound regulation should focus on clear AML/CFT rules without confiscatory overreach that treats citizens' property as state-controlled capital.

We urge @Treasury_RSA and the @SAReserveBank to heed Luno's concerns and prioritise a framework that respects property rights, encourages local fintech growth, and classifies onshore crypto holdings appropriately.

Millions of people all over the world have been wronged by the past and have moved on successfully ( largely through physical and mental efforts by themselves) ie.Japan ,India ,Poland ,Armenia ,Thailand ,Congo .
