@RealGaelicGirl@christywhy9 Judge Roach:
“He seems like a nice young man who committed a crime and he understands today more than any day before the consequences of committing a crime like he did…”
Me:
“Poor or nonexistent parental upbringing.”
Anthony lived with all the trappings of a good life.
@ike_salado_tx@christywhy9 Sure … take a couple of minutes to evaluate the sociopathic behavior of Ted Kaczynski, and his callous disregard of others that resulted in indiscriminate harm.
By now you should get the point. 🙄
@LarryWhitlow4@christywhy9 Jeremiah 2:26 As the thief is ashamed when he is found …
Most of you have no idea that all this is laid out precisely in the Bible.
There are people who dismiss the legal insanity defense.
But remember Ted Kaczynski killed 3 people and injured 23 others. The FBI ran one of the longest and most expensive investigations in its history trying to identify him.
He pleaded guilty in 1998 to avoid the death penalty and was sentenced to life without parole. He was also notably ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation, where he was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, though he disputed that diagnosis.
He died in his prison cell in June 2023 at age 81, an apparent suicide.
…. this was another tragic story.
Ted Kaczynski, known as the Unabomber, was a child prodigy who skipped two grades and entered Harvard at age 16. He earned a PhD in mathematics from the University of Michigan and briefly taught at UC Berkeley — considered one of the most promising young mathematicians of his generation.
His attacks killed 3 people and injured 23 others. The FBI ran one of the longest and most expensive investigations in its history trying to identify him.
Please tell me you understand there are mentally unstable amongst us, regardless of their race.
@ElenaSophia75@christywhy9 The “nonsense” is that people no longer obey the Bible. This entire Karmelo Anthony tragedy is described in Deuteronomy 28 — “The blessings of obedience, and the curses of disobedience.”
Ultimately, I lay the fault for this on the laps of Karmelo’s parents.
@MattKovacs15@Dennis_J_Ross@christywhy9 Yes, I am convinced that someone, somewhere, has taught him that Holy Scripture says:
Deuteronomy 5:17 Thou shalt not kill.
Your response — above every other — points to the ultimate question for Karmelo:
“Did Jesus tell you to do that?”
Correct.
“Run, Hide, Fight” is an active shooter response framework developed to give civilians a prioritized action plan when confronted with a mass shooting or similar violent threat.
If Karmelo felt “threatened”, he should have escaped the scene. He didn’t because I believe he was psychologically maladjusted and therefore couldn’t conceptualize other alternatives to fighting.
@Peonie749469@auntiewillow@christywhy9 Thank you for your response. The points I am making went right over the head of many people. There are psychological maladies that predict these tragedies, such as oppositional defiant disorder (ODD). Read the book “Failure Factory” by Chris Pabst.
@Dennis_J_Ross@christywhy9 well, if those kids are told to do chores, make their bed, sweep the stairs, recite their homework … check on grandma and grandpa…. then yeah … they’ll be all-right …
I think you get the picture… 🤔
@Anymouse28@christywhy9 I agree 100%
… but we still have a mental health crisis on our hands. And a return to the good old days when “Sister Mary” whacked your ass ain’t gonna happen
I hearken from an era where corporal punishment ruled the day…. until the lawyers got involved.
