Somehow the UK is always the most exposed nation, I don't know how we do it. But no matter the crisis, we're always the most exposed and yet we seem to be the least of the beneficiaries in the "good times".
What exactly is our secret sauce of this special curse of ours?
What a fucking stupid statement.
America's Best $13 BILLION USS Gerald R Ford Aircraft Carrier just caught on fire and injured hundreds of sailors - and is currently in Greece for repairs.
I have inside information saying it could take two years to be made seaworthy again.
As well as that, the USS Harry Truman was hit by the Houthis and the USS Abraham Lincoln has been hit by Iran and run away.
America's aircraft carriers are crap.
At least ours work you daft fool.
If we’re going to be building brick slip flats en masse, let’s learn from Brent Cross.
Bay windows, recessed balconies and warm brick.
I’ve really started to dislike the little half-cages stuck onto flats like pic 2. Not very pleasant to look at!

Great article in today's Telegraph about How Not to Die (too soon)🍎 - thanks @laurenshirreff https://t.co/vLqcxGKFHZ
BBC News sum up gains for the UK
£2 billion - CPTPP
£5 billion - India
£9 billion - EU
However, keeping the UK outside an UK-EU Customs Union, and access to the EU Single Market costs us £140 billion a year
So yes, £9 billion is great, but nowhere near the £140 billion we have lost due to Brexit
The main problem with Brutalism is not the architecture but that the buildings have been left to rot with little in the way of maintenance. Concrete looks especially bad when it's dirty. A good power wash and a lick of paint and our town centres would instantly look 200% better.
This is the best summary of the current geopolitical situation I have seen. Sir Alex Younger was head of MI6 between 2014 and 2020. Really worth watching.
