@WeAreOpenreach
Northumberland County Council have begun pavement kerb repairs to the paths in Dunsgreen, Ponteland- so they have a digger and lots of workmen here this week to help excavate the redundant black plastic boxes and back of pavement pinkerbs.
@UKLabour Can you take back the Tyneand Wear Metro and bus services... it was fantastic as an integrated service under the control of the T+W PTE... Take it back from German owned Nexus.
@Heccles94@BBCNews The BBC thrives on controversy and conflict- that gets viewers- no different to any other media dependant on footfall. The principle of balanced, fact-checked reporting is long gone- if it ever existed!
@WeAreOpenreach@NGNgas Just received an email confirming our street of 114 houses will get full fibre broadband in Sept 2026. No reference to taking advantage of the works being planned by NGN over the next 13 weeks- the original reason for trying to contact the installation team.
Ah well, I tried...
I think @WeAreOpenreach have just blocked my messages to them...I’m trying to speak to their Deputy CEO so that they can liaise with @NGNgas to lay a Full Fibre cable in NGN’s proposed new gas main trenches in our street serving 114 dwellings.
Perhaps our MP will manage it...
@EdwardJDavey Agree! It’s a terrible indictment of the world we live in that a self-confessed racist propagandist is given so much publicity without being pilloried at every opportunity for his offensive and inflammatory view of the world while pandering to the selfish, xenophobic and bigoted.
@WeAreOpenreach@NGNgas Not received anything yet Anthony, but I’ll forward the reference number as soon as I get one... what do I need to do if I don’t?
@WeAreOpenreach@NGNgas It means the street will be dug up and reinstated with new tarmac twice within twelve months.
If Openreach's management are unable to collaborate with @NGNgas it will be diusappointing, but I can appreciate that there may not be enough time to pull it together, but please try!
@WeAreOpenreach@NGNgas Thanks Catherine! Excellent.
I’ve also spoken to the office of our MP, Joe Morris, who will be in touch too, to try to move things along.
I really appreciate your help.
@WeAreOpenreach This can't wait - Kate Milligan or her senior management team need to liaise with Northern Gas Networks urgently- please will you send her a message to contact me?
@WeAreOpenreach#Openreach
Does anyone have a contact name and tel. phone for a senior manager at Openreach who deals with Full Fibre cable planning and installation?
The Openreach website doesn’t list any way to contact anyone directly

@WeAreOpenreach I=I appreciate that’s how Openreach operate, but can you send Kate Milligan or her senior installation management team an internal message or email to let her know about this urgently- it can’t wait.
@WeAreOpenreach I appreciate that you can’t give out information publicly Can you send Kate an internal email or get a message to her as she or her installation management team covering Northumberland, we need to jump on this opportunity now
It can’t wait for someone to get round to it.
Thanks
@WeAreOpenreach Thanks Catherine.
Please don’t tell me to go to the website- I’ve done that.
I need to TALK to the person who manages Full Fibre development cable installation as there is a limited time for Openreach to liaise with Northern Gas Networks
and share the infrastructure cost with Northern Gas Networks. NGN are willing to help but need Openreach to approach them with a proposal.I need someone senior enough in Openreach to listen, realise the opportunity + take the decision to act quickly!
Thanks,
Chris

Our street in Ponteland is being dug up by Northern Gas Networks over the next 13 weeks to fit a new gas main and connection for every house.This gives Openreach a unique one-time opportunity to lay a fibre cable in the road serving all 86 houses and 28 flats
