A small group of us made our reasonable concerns on lockdown costs clear at the time - we were labelled as murderers and 'COVID deniers'.

It is becoming overwhelmingly obvious that lockdowns will take far more life years than they saved - I believe harm caused by delays in cancer diagnosis/treatment alone will outweigh those 'saved' by lockdown in terms of life years lost.

It decimated our economy, ruining the life chances of countless children.

All of this costing hundreds of billions. Just think how that money could have been spent instead? We destroyed the country, paying vast amounts to do so.

The poisonous debate did its job. I personally know many scientists who saw the vitriol, and understandably didn't want the same. For personal, financial and professional reasons.

The lack of a free and open debate during lockdown killed thousands, and punished millions. I hope those responsible are sufficiently ashamed.

Lockdown was an appalling error, driven by media hysteria and never subjected to any proper level of scrutiny.

The greatest Government policy mistake in my lifetime, without a doubt.
