Pièce contre pièce, l’abbé Blaise Kanda @BlaiseKanda2, prêtre du diocèse de Mbuji-Mayi n’y va pas de main morte pour étriller ceux qui ont qualifié de tribaliste la position des prêtres catholiques de Kananga prise contre celle de la Cenco sur la réforme constitutionnelle envisagée en RDC :
« Des prêtres catholiques du Katanga ont, en 2011, contesté une déclaration politique de la CENCO au sujet de la vérité des urnes. Il paraît qu’ils n’étaient pas tribalistes et qu’ils avaient du respect pour la hiérarchie. Ils n’ont jamais été sanctionnés. Ils ne se sont pas attirés les foudres de l’olympe. Dieu ne les a pas tués pour ce crime odieux contre l’humanité ». Pour l’abbé Kanda, faire de la contestation des évêques de Kananga un marqueur ethnique est une dérive dangereuse : « Si c’est un mauvais exemple à ne pas suivre, il ne faut pas lier la contestation à une tribu : les baluba du Kasaï », a-t-il écrit dans sa dénonciation.
