Mar 24, 1984: is the date that 5 students (a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess, and a criminal) spent their Saturday in detention and became The Breakfast Club. #80s

Big Ron has come up with great one-liners, including, "Er'rybody wanna be a bodybuilder, but don't nobody wanna lift no heavy-ass weight." Except, he wasn't the first to say it. John McCallum was... 40+ years earlier.

Some wisdom here. You (usually) don't "need" a dedicated workout outfit and a pre-workout dosed 75-minutes before training and an intra-workout mixed 15-minutes before training and noise-canceling earbuds blasting your playlist. If you can't just 'go and do', figure out why.
@BryanKrahn I remember Dan John once pointing out another benefit of middle-aged lifting: relatively more disposable income for training gear, recovery boosters (pretty sure he specified a hot tub), and, yep, quality coaching.
If you had a favorite one of these guys, you should be doing fewer 1RM tests, more rep work, more walking, and more mobility drills.

@nypost Dear dudes complaining about these trainers and their clients, please be sure to also complain about higher weight class powerlifters, strongmen, and Olympic lifters, since you weirdly think every person in every gym should be training for fat loss.
Keep moving, go hard on the bird and veggies, go easy on the cocktails.

GTG is one of the most effective methods for building strength and technique, if you've got patience. Perfect for bodyweight exercises. Also applicable to weight training if you can wrap your head around doing easy sets and NOT adding weight.
This unique method will have you training more often than ever before, but you’re not allowed to train too hard in any workout. Here’s why this unconventional technique builds serious strength.
