“The SAFE Bet Act reinforces the outdated and unwarranted prejudice against gaming, a legal industry which provides good-paying jobs and tax dollars to communities across the United States." -@dinatitus

@truckindumbass@HermieSadler Yessir. 60%+ of revenue going to Georgia-based company. 90% of political donations to VA politicians via same GA company. Also, Gov’s tax rate is 35% - on the low end of markets w/ distributed gaming. Would say “wake up,” but you already knew all that.
@gmoomaw While exclusion zone is well-justified policy based on the investments casinos are making in the Commonwealth, it’s also a separate amendment for GA to consider. Focus should be on what Gov has proposed vs totally non-existent guardrails in SB212.
@HermieSadler@GovernorVA Be honest
"Out of state" casinos are hiring Virginians, pay taxes, and are investing billions of dollars in the Commonwealth for economic development
Out of state skill operators entered the Commonwealth uninvited, sued to stay here, continued to profit while avoiding taxes.
