I tried the Yankees’ newest concession items before their home opener tomorrow.
My full rankings, in order, from best to worst, including one item I compared to Luis Arraez.

@positivityofx As someone who works in a similar industry, the ticket agent just didn’t care. They’ve probably had it and was like whatever, this isn’t the hill they are dying on
@saintsoulard@Yordaddy2026mvp I mean it’s in Miami mainly because it’s a tournament run by MLB. But it would draw a ton of people if it was a tournament played in Asia and in central and South America too.
@deviIette@MrChexman Aaron Nola and Vinny Pasquantino are good enough to play for team USA but chose to represent Italy. Nolan Arenado however was on the last two USA teams in the wbc and didn’t make the cut this time, and that’s when he finally chose to play for team PR.
@TeddyFreddy270@Jomboy_@zo_demalia Yeah it’s fine, it’s supposed to be fun. One of the reasons why baseball has become a regional sport and not the national
Sport it once was is because players at the professional level stopped showing personality.
@phares_tim@ChrisKirschner Who’s telling people that? As someone who is bilingual I’ve only ever been told to speak English especially in public places because of the way people who can’t speak multiple languages react to hearing something different.
@phares_tim@ChrisKirschner The statement can be taken in a lot of ways, like a player on a team with a lot of Hispanic players can learn Spanish or a player who’s apart of a team with a lot of Japanese players can learn Japanese. The majority of foreign born players know English just don’t interview in it
@BlackAndNative1 There is a big thing that is missing with the 14th amendment when you’re talk about the post FDR interpretation. During WW2 Asian American rights were taken away with many having no ties to Japan whatsoever. When you take away rights it’s a slippery slope before they take yours
@Chaos9666@FormerlyNY@GaryHPhillips You really can’t have a floor without a ceiling. I don’t believe there should be a cap or even the luxury tax, but realistically all a floor does is have the bottom and middle tier guys earn more and the top talent still goes to the big markets.
@FormerlyNY@GaryHPhillips I mean it kinda makes sense as to why Hal is in favor of a cap. Much of what is already in place like the luxury tax is all because of the Yankees success. He’s motive isn’t about wanting to pay players less but rather not having giving teams like the pirates more of a cut.
