@OctopusEnergy I was chatting with you via DM yesterday, but there appears to have been some confusion and you've switched me to a different tariff than I was expecting. Can you have a look please?
@quidco I sent a message to support at the start of the week. It says "response within 2 days", but 4 days later and it's not even been seen yet... Are you able to help on here?
@OctopusEnergy received this email about renewing my Tracker tariff. I replied to the email confirming I'd like to stick with Tracker as it says, but got a reply from your email team saying I need to wait for an email with renewal instructions. Was this not it? I'm confused...
@OctopusEnergy Thanks for the quick response, it's just the bubble pop-up above each bar that's muddled, as it's showing the value in m3 but then incorrectly adding "kWh" to the end. Could confuse people and it's been that way for a while.
@OctopusEnergy the app still shows the wrong unit of measurement for gas on the "Day" usage screen. The bubble pop-up says it's in kWh when actually the data on the Y-axis appears to be in units... Been wrong since before xmas. Any news on a fix?
@OctopusEnergy your app is currently showing the wrong unit of measurement on the graphs for gas. The legend and little bubble pop-up states "kWh" but the actual data presented is "units". Going to confuse a lot of people if not fixed quickly.
@GuyLipman Ok thanks for the info, I was wondering why I couldn't get the numbers to work out and was hoping I was missing something. This explains it.
@GuyLipman I'm trying to understand the octopus gas tracker formula. Is this the correct data to be using from the Marex site? I can't seem to get the numbers to stack up with what I'm seeing on my Octopus account.
@OctopusEnergy@agile_phil It's definitely not right, as it still shows a gradual daily usage increase across the billing period which would be more akin to a deemed profile. My gas usage fluctuates day to day depending on a number of factors. I'll DM across more details.
@OctopusEnergy I'm on your tracker tariff for gas and you've just billed me again using a deemed usage profile rather than what I actually used each day based on my smart meter. I had the same issue last month and you corrected. Can you correct again please?
@OctopusEnergy Hi thanks for getting back to me. I've just taken a look at the email and still believe that the updated bill is incorrect, when compared to what I'm seeing in the app for my daily usage.
I want to be billed for exactly what I used each day so I get the true benefit of the tracker tariff rather than daily estimates. Can this be updated on my account going forwards please?
@OctopusEnergy I can see on my account since I mentioned the above that there's been some adjustments to my account balance. Can I just confirm this was a correction in response to the above? (I can't see the detail, only that my balance was tweaked).
@OctopusEnergy why is it that on the elec tracker you can correctly charge based on daily usage, but the gas tracker you still use a deemed usage profile despite knowing from my smart meter exactly how much I used each day? Doesn't that defeat the point?
E.g.I deliberately tested my heating on a lower cost day (5th Oct), see graph from your app, and yet your bill has simply "guessed" how much I used on that day? I know we're talking pennies in this instance but in the depths of winter that'll add up if I manage my daily use...
@OctopusEnergy I've still not heard if anything is happening to the tracker rates as part of the government announcement. I'm assuming it must be unaffected? Can you confirm please?
@DragonWolf5589 @OctopusEnergy I bet it doesn't apply. I reckon they'll work out the average rate across 24hrs, so depending on your exact day and night rates the average will likely be less than the cap anyway. Just a guess on my part though.
