God did not give Scripture so men could ignore what is plain and chase what is hidden.
The great problem in the church is not that believers have failed to discover secret codes in the Bible. The problem is that many refuse to obey what God has already spoken clearly. We do not need mystical keys, hidden patterns, and private revelations when the Lord has already revealed His will in words that command repentance, faith, holiness, obedience, and love for Christ.
“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our sons forever” (Deuteronomy 29:29).
Scripture is not a puzzle box for the curious. It is the living Word of God that exposes the heart, reveals Christ, makes sinners wise unto salvation, and equips the people of God for every good work.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
Many want hidden meanings because plain truth is too uncomfortable. It is easier to chase mysteries than to forgive an enemy, kill sin, flee lust, love the brethren, submit to Christ, and tremble at His Word.
“But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves” (James 1:22).
The Bible does contain depths we will never exhaust, but its depth is not found by escaping the text. It is found by bowing before what God has actually said.
We do not need secret codes.
We need opened eyes, humbled hearts, and obedient lives.
Shahid Bolsen: You let your oppressors, your colonisers stay in South Africa after Apartheid.
That’s pretty hospitable and welcoming. You have the most obvious demographic who would generally be eligible for banishment, and they’re still there.
There is no untouched life in this fallen world.
There is no perfect childhood, perfect family, perfect marriage, perfect work, perfect church, or perfect circle of people who will always understand us, love us rightly, speak wisely, and never fail us. We live among sinners, and we ourselves are sinners. That means even the best earthly gifts carry weakness, disappointment, limitation, and pain.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
But the hope of the believer is not built on finding a perfect life here. Our hope is that we belong to a perfect God who rules over every imperfect part of our lives with flawless wisdom, unchanging faithfulness, and fatherly love.
“The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds” (Psalm 145:17).
He does not promise a life without trouble. He promises His presence in trouble. He does not promise that people will never fail us. He promises that He will never leave us. He does not promise that every road will make sense to us. He promises that He is working all things according to His holy purpose.
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God” (Romans 8:28).
So we do not need to pretend life is painless. We do not need to deny disappointment. We do not need to make idols out of earthly comfort, human approval, or ideal circumstances. We need to look to the Lord who carries His people through weakness, grief, confusion, and change.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).
This life is not perfect.
But our God is.
And His strength is enough for every imperfect day He appoints.
I do not know what tomorrow will bring.
I do not have enough wisdom for every trial, enough strength for every burden, enough courage for every storm, or enough understanding for every path God has appointed. If I look only at myself, I am not ready for what may come.
But the believer is not left to face tomorrow alone.
The Holy Spirit of God dwells within the people of Christ. He is not a feeling, a force, or a passing comfort. He is the third Person in the God head and the Helper promised by the Son, sent by the Father, and present with the saints forever.
“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever” (John 14:16).
He knows what I do not know. He strengthens where I am weak. He intercedes when I do not know how to pray. He leads into truth, convicts of sin, comforts the weary, seals the redeemed, and keeps the children of God until the day of redemption.
“In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should” (Romans 8:26).
This does not mean the road ahead will be easy. It means I do not walk it in the poverty of my own strength. The One who dwells within me is God Himself, perfectly wise, perfectly holy, perfectly powerful, and perfectly faithful.
“Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
So I may not feel prepared for tomorrow. But the Spirit of Christ within me is never surprised, never weak, never confused, and never overcome.
My confidence is not in my readiness.
My confidence is in His presence.
The more they leave the more kasi economy will collapse, even taxi operators are starting to feel it.

“The very worst sin that’s ever been committed was the murder of the Son of God. The very best thing that’s ever happened on this planet was the death of the Son of God. And if God can make the worst thing the best thing, He can make your disappointment, even your sin, even your foolishness, work together for good.”

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this new morning and for Your steadfast love that greets us with every sunrise. As this day begins, help us to walk in reverence before You, choosing integrity over compromise and wisdom over foolishness. Guide our steps so that our words and actions reflect Your character and bring honor to Your name.
Lord, guard our mouths and our hearts. Remove pride, harshness, and careless speech from us. Fill us instead with humility, grace, truth, and encouragement so that our words become a source of life and blessing to those around us.
Grant us discernment in every decision, courage in every challenge, and faithfulness in every opportunity to serve. May we walk uprightly before You today, trusting Your guidance and reflecting the love of Christ wherever we go.
Protect our families, strengthen our friends, bless our work, and help us be instruments of Your peace. May Your presence go before us and Your Spirit empower us to live wisely and faithfully this day.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
