@Altgthr Sorry but you are ignoring our squad’s clear lack of fitness. Even for a naturally unathletic group, our conditioning levels are poor. That’s on the coaching staff. The last guy talked about raising the athletic floor & no one wanted to listen, yet he still got them running
@Vararse_ We can’t afford to write off a season & miss Europe. It will kill us financially & we’ll lose more ground on our rivals. Better to get someone short term in that guarantees Europe so we can continue rebuilding the squad. Turn the squad over fully then get your guy.
@WayneSBarton I’m sorry but Carrick is doing a diabolical job. Our coaching and conditioning is evidently the worst it’s been in years with a better group of players than either of the last two guys had. That is not down to missing out on a couple of signings.
@Altgthr Carrick doesn’t need to pick them all. How about building something with the younger players? People were obsessed with the last coach not playing youth. Funny how that doesn’t matter now. Carrick is playing guys who’ve been here forever & achieved v little. We’re going nowhere.
@Altgthr Think you’re clutching here. We played 3atb low possession survival football against Leeds. No patterns. That is not down to a lack of signings.
Carrick is out of his depth unfortunately and the longer this goes on, the more of a waste this season will be.
@mufcacademy91 Nonsense. We have a T5/6 squad. It’s actually the best it’s been for years albeit admittedly still short of where we all want.
Our coaching, tactics and in game decisions are so poor. Pure survival ball away at mid table Leeds. Change is needed and we can salvage this season.
2 wins in 10 with the games we’ve had is unbelievably bad.
3 at the back today, players shoe horned out of position to have 39% possession against Leeds. Pure survival mode. No subs until 70 mins. Bruno 90 mins again. Same old. Please end this nonsense.
#MUFC I
Michael Carrick on Bruno Fernandes:
"Like I said the other day, he had been carrying some sort of issue. A lot of players do carry them and it, kind of, goes under the radar and people just sometimes think everyone is 100 per cent fully fit and it's probably not very often the case.
But yeah, he has been carrying a bit of an issue but he's pretty much over that now, to be honest, and he'll be back to his best."
Carrick would’ve won the league last season btw if he’d been there at the start of the season, I was told. Now the squad isn’t good enough to even play in the Champions League. Which one is it?
@ImpressionistAL Sorry but it won’t have any major effect. Licha isn’t getting a new contract (which is probably part of his motive here along with blame shifting). He will be gone. So in all likelihood will Wilcox along with Carrick as they both should be, but that would have happened anyway.
