@UnitedStandMUFC Actually a great point about sander Berge. He’s a very good player but he should have been the 35 mil player if we were to go for him. The midfield needs big investment and spending 35 twice isn’t big investment. Unfortunately he’s getting a lot of stick but he is good
@UnitedStandMUFC I do think it’s down to carrick also. Amorim got good investment (apart from a cm of course) because he made it clear what he needed. Feels like carrick is “happy with anything”. Hope I’m wrong. Fingers crossed for a combo of tchouameni, scott and nmecha over a baleba type
@UnitedStandMUFC Last year big teams weren’t looking at baleba so maybe their scouting suggested he wasn’t good enough. This year PSG, real and arsenal all like Fernandes, suggesting he is good enough, that’s not one to miss out on. Think he’s underrated, we need to push for him
@UnitedStandMUFC I understand the “we only want players who want us” mentality and it worked well last season, but he would’ve said he wasn’t interested by now, so there’s something there. Bid the 120, let’s try close the gap. Otherwise are we just owned by more bankers stripping away?
@RobertoSatire@UnitedStandMUFC One of the biggest teams in the world, Garnacho and Rashford will be pure profit. Hojlund going for £43.2 literally clears his transfer cost. Ultimately I’m not uniteds financial advisor but they’d be pulled up if they were breaching it
@UnitedStandMUFC Understand the fees may go elsewhere, but is it not a similar price we paid for ederson, and if so, does that not mean we effectively have the same amount of money to go big for an Anderson type and a Fernandes type?
@LEONSLATER_ Watching him and Jonny storm on “the wrestling channel” on sky when you’re a kid at your granny’s house trying to hit the 720 off the sofa onto the cushion. Unbelievable memory unlocked!
@UnitedStandMUFC This tier stuff is not supportive of a new player. We have 200 mil to spend on cm’s, he’s 35, so 165 gives us the ability to go 65 for Fernandes and 100 for Anderson, though feels unlikely. Then some sales to take in 50 for hall. Job done, if additional sales, lw next
@UnitedStandMUFC@mjcritchley But is this “held talks with West Ham and player” to see what they’d want for him or just internally amongst the transfer “team” to decide how much they’re willing to spend/offer,
@UnitedStandMUFC Carrick liked to play with a very attacking left back at borough, so probably see him as a left back. If they work with him, he’s young enough to improve as a winger, but he’s too inconsistent at this time
@UnitedStandMUFC Recycled from Ben Jacob’s last week no? Also, getting our second and third choice players in doesn’t mean Newcastle or Forrest will think us more desperate? There’s 3 “number 1” signings, if Anderson is priced out we’ll go to another number 1. Stupid take
@UnitedStandMUFC Fernandes has the ability to be an elite player. It’s ashame our board can’t do deals properly, cause he should only be 50mil-ish. If we can’t get these 3 then it should be 3 of Fernandes, scott, stiller or maybe someone like Hugo Larsson. None particularly “Casemiro like” though
@UnitedStandMUFC We spend the whole time saying MEN reports aren’t worth reading. baleba isn’t going away, but I think we’re more likely to get Fernandes, ederson and one of the Bournemouth 2. Anderson too pricy for the board and I think the baleba stuff wide of the mark. Would take scott instead
@UnitedStandMUFC Bruno would have 30 assists if we had boys who could score. Amad and mbems need to find confidence again, bad touches, sluggish. Zirkzee needs sold. Carrick needs to step up in the summer, we can’t play like this next season. Anderson was fantastic, hopefully he signs for us!
