@idrnkyrmlkshake @masenmatthews +1 For Baratza anything. The Encore is ~$120. I've had a Virtuoso (~$250) for like 10+ years and their support is the best. I also love that they're anti-waste so they heavily encourage you to replace parts and make it easy to do so.
@masenmatthews Hard agree. In a similar vein, I hate people who move away but still comment in their old Nextdoor neighborhoods about how shitty everything is.
@rickybellspdx My favorite drummer is Nick Yacyshyn who plays in Baptists (punk/hardcore), Sumac (metal), and he's played on (great) albums with The Armed and Genghis Tron. Here's a drum playthrough of a Rain City Session w/ Baptists—he's super talented and fun to watch: https://t.co/9dzAsZxcwQ
Been building a K8s cluster to handle CI/CD at work and, upon giving it its first real tire-kick, found that we way underprovisioned our subnets and ran out of IPs (~500 😐). So today we switched to IPv6 and now we have 2 subnets with 18 _quadrillion_ IPs each. Boy bye.
ME: (grunting and groaning getting into the car)
AVERY (3 y/o): What's wrong dad?
ME: Oh, I'm just getting old and my body hurts
A: Our bodies die as we get older
ME: ...uh ...yeah 😐
If I've learned anything from being on Nextdoor, it's that people (boomers?) love an excuse to use that cop-ish suspect description (caucasian male, 5' 10", 180lbs., short gray hair, etc.) for even the most mundane of incidents
