BREAKING: New Smyrna Beach police officer shot on Trumbull Bay Road per Chief. Officer expected to recover. Volusia deputy and officer returned fire. Suspect is dead. This apparently started with suspect fleeing from Port Orange. @clairemetzwesh broke story. @WESH
NOW: FL Dep. of Health epidemiologist Alvina Chu says 15-24 year-olds are “propelling the pandemic within our county.” That age group is responsible for more than 10 percent of cases for Orange County over the past two weeks, the largest share. @WESH
NEW: Statement on election security from DHS:
“The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history. ... There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised.”

The Osceola County Supervisor of Elections has confirmed the internet is DOWN at the SOE office. Polling sites are having to hand deliver their ballots. They say Spectrum told them it could take an hour or two to get the internet back up and running. @WESH
NOW: Long lines at the Louise McInnis Elementary School polling location in DeLeon Springs. This is the only active polling location in this community. Supervisor of elections office says it is working hard to get everybody through quickly. @WESH
NOW: Downtown Orlando packed tonight as Orange Avenue shut down. Most people are not wearing masks. City of Orlando suspended open container laws in this area of downtown tonight to encourage crowds to spread out. @WESH
