I really hate tweeting sports media stuff but last thing I’m gonna say, and I know this is a tradition somehow, but scheduling the US Open final at 1pm on week 1 of the nfl season might be the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. I’m not the biggest tennis guy but is it like law they have to start and end the tournament at this time every year? Wouldn’t it make sense to start it and end it where the final would end on like a Tuesday? When they’re not going up against by far the most popular sport in the country. Especially week 1 too when everyone and their mother has been waiting for this day for months

I think ESPN has the best pregame show. I thought it used to be FOX and I still think they have the best personalities but they’ve lost their fastball and collectively they’re not as diehard fans as they used to be. I think Bradshaw carries FOX tho and I’ll still watch bc of him and his charisma. CBS I won’t even watch a second of. Nate Burleson and now Russell Wilson I’ll pass

I like Chris Fowler but I don’t wanna hear about him being a workaholic. He’s not this beloved sportscaster (I.e. Scully, Marv Albert, Doc Emrick) ppl clamor to see on Saturday nights. He can take a week off and I’d bet my non-existent mortgage that if McDonough was on the call the rating would be the same. Said this too after Kevin Burkhardt did game 7 of the World Series and nfl the next day.
