Enjoyed learning to play the djembe drum, an experience that went far beyond music. It was a powerful connection to African culture, history, and tradition. Traveling the world has exposed me to many cultures, but today was connecting to a deeper heritage. ✊🏾

Watching Michael Jordan’s interview with Gayle King reminded me that greatness starts somewhere. So while in Wilmington, I had to visit his high school. Walking those halls, you feel it. The work, vision, and belief. Proof that even the greatest to ever do it had a starting point

The Civil Rights Museum in Greensboro, NC is a must see. This is where the desegregation movement was ignited by 4 college students who chose courage over comfort. 4 young men took a stand and helped change the world with conviction and purpose. We need that same courage today.
