@hardistymark I quite like it but not as much as Caffe Nero or Costa. The problem is I need to go to Leeds to find one. (Anyone remember when it was once above Waterstones in Bradford?)
Caught the Super Furries live on 6! Incredible live sound with the guitars and electronics, a bit like a Welsh Blur? It's always great to have them back. ๐
@CartoonCrawlers Yeah, that wasn't good. There's another cover on this album! It was ok, but the originals are often the best.
Overall it's a good album! I liked the style, very We Can't Dance at times - I had to check if Nick Davis was producer, but it was Christopher Neil & Mike.

@CartoonCrawlers I'm persevering one track at a time. I like it! Mea Culpa has Mike in Genesis mode! Love the stereo percussion and the riff. Just needed a Banks solo.
Wasn't too sure about the previous track, but comments on YouTube Music show people love it.
@CartoonCrawlers I can play the whole album but not do anything else with the phone. Still, at least you get videos. This is the song I heard Banks couldn't believe was a hit when his singles failed to chart. ๐
@CartoonCrawlers Well this is awkward. Spotify won't play Beggar on a Beach of Gold, so I went to YouTube Music. Played the title track (great to hear Phil Collins on drums โ it is him, isn't it? ๐). But if I switch to another app the sound cuts out, plus there's ads. ๐ฌ
@CartoonCrawlers I was gonna ask if you liked Roachford. He had a big hit years earlier and I even bought two of his albums, great stuff! So of course I was glad to see him join M + TM. I'll let ya know what the album is like for sure!
Loving the new Squeeze single myself right now, catchy!
@CartoonCrawlers I used to play every album in chronological order by bands I liked on my iPod, forcing myself to listen to those early albums in full. Then I got into Spotify and did the same thing with the back catalogues of Stevie Wonder & The Stones. So now it's Mike's turn! ๐ธ
@w_ulanowski@U2@fansofu2@GlobalNetworker@U2TourFan A very decent list. ๐ I was never too keen on Unforgettable Fire though, so I'd have to replace it with something else. Also make room for How To Dismantle near the top โ their last classic album imho. ๐
@CartoonCrawlers M3! Oh dear, not too keen. A great title track though! (How come you never hear it on the radio?) It was good, but somehow failed to make me love it like the last two.
@joserael@ProgROCK_Bon@sk_stanis This is most likely the *other* Paul Young who was a big success in the UK charts, not the one from Sad Cafรฉ who went on to join Mike + The Mechanics. ๐
