Feels crazy to be almost done with the semester. Though Walther urges us to avoid the rhetoric of addiction in terms of technology, it feels hard not to do so with Twitter #RHMS270
Talking about the surveillance that college admissions do to see who is most interested in their school is a crazy way to get insight into someone's mind. Whatever happened to just a college essay and SAT score??? #rhms270
The @WIRED article made me notice very similar things about liking stuff on my Instagram. I've noticed that my explore feed tends to change based off of what I like and ignore. Also if I talk about certain things, I start to see ads for it. Tad bit creepy #rhms270
Interesting to hear how people develop preferential messages to send to individual people. Self presentation and the way a profile are set up as well can be very selective. Cool to see how this presentation lines up with what we have been talking about in class. #rhms270
Today's class opened my eyes a little bit with my friends. I realized that even though we have grown apart, we still know the same information about each other and that can never be taken away. You may drift apart but there is always room to come back. #rhms270
