@metoffice In which case, Businesses need to be forced to install air conditioning for their staff, an upper working temperature of 25c needs to be rolled out, where if it is exceeded employees can leave on full pay. Given its such an emergency, it all needs to be done within 48 hours.

@metoffice Supposed to have been raining in East Cheshire for most of the day. In reality the rain had stopped by 11AM. I had to put up with over a week of high 20's & cloudless wall to wall sunshine last month, is it too much to expect a 24 hour period of non stop incessant rain?.

@bbcmtd We've spent well over £32 billion on Wind and Solar, only to produce a small percentage of our requirements. Should have spent that money on Nuclear, then we wouldn't have the highest energy prices in history!.
