New UK June record: Gosport in Hampshire now the hottest with 36.1C, beating the previous record from June 1976 of 35.6C which was set just a few miles down the coast in Southampton !

It’s also been quite a night in Lincolnshire. Cranwell, with a low of 21.4C has recorded its warmest night on record (not just June) beating the previous record on 27th July 1949
