I’m glad your kids have an affirming environment, but not all do. I know this as a trained crisiscounselor for LGBTQ+kids. There’s more to this than the “parents’ rights” dog whistle.

If “parents matter,” he’d make sure every parent has paid leave to spend time with their kids.

If “parents matter,” he wouldn’t be attacking vulnerable young people.

It was never about parents.
